Coach Lowry’s Comments

The Northern Valley B-girls travelled to Brewster for the WKLL Tournament and ended their day with second place medals. Due to illness we were only able to take five girls but these five girls came ready to play. They had an early start to the day and came out with a strong press and good defense. All five girls scored winning the game 22-5. Tanea Speer and Shaylee Vsetecka led in scoring with 6 points each. Later that afternoon the girls went up against an aggressive Golden Plains team in the championship game. The girls struggled to get shots to fall and ran out of steam before the end of the game ending with a score of 14-30. Shaylee Vsetecka led in scoring with 5 points. The B-girls ended their season with 9 wins, 3 losses, and 2nd place medals at the WKLL Tournament.

“This was a fun group of girls to coach. They were always full of energy and determination to do their best. They knew how to work hard.”
