Phillips County Community Foundation is continuing to partner with the Dane G. Hansen Foundation to provide grant funds totaling $50,000 to Phillips County. The Fall 2018 grant round begins September 15, and is open to non-profit organizations, clubs, churches, volunteer groups and government entities in Phillips County. The deadline to submit an application is November 15, 2018.
Eligible projects are those relating to cultural and artistic projects, community beautification, disaster relief of special needs and support systems, conservation and the benefits of outdoor resources, improving the learning environment and opportunities of the public school system, and healthy life practices and access to health care services. Grants cannot be used to reduce or replace budgetary needs for programs or projects that are tax-supported, nor for endowment or general operational expenses.
In announcing this new round of grants, Morris Engle, PCCF Executive Director, said “One purpose of PCCF is to help with the grant process so that Phillips County can use the Hansen funds for community needs. We’re excited that PCCF is making a difference in Phillips County!”
Grant applications are submitted through the online application process. Go to the PCCF website at phillipscountycommunityfoundation.org for the link to the Greater Northwest Community Foundation. Proceed to “Apply for a Grant” to start the application. All qualifying applications will be forwarded to PCCF for the local Board’s decision process. Preference will be given to projects that include community involvement and volunteerism.
