Coach Cole’s Comments – The NVJH football team improved their record to 2-1 on the season with a 50-0 shutout over Logan/Palco. Halfback Foster Brands ran for three touchdowns. QB Kenton Thalheim had a big night rushing for two TD’s and also throwing two TD passes. The offensive line did a good job of blocking led by center Drew Schemper and guards Peyton David and Brody Preston. The Huskies defense had a great night holding the Trojans to 19 yards rushing and 0 points. Nine Huskies made tackles in the game, led by DE Kai Cox with 8. We are playing pretty good football right now and hope to keep it rolling next week as we travel to Brewster.
