Phillipsburg Golf finishes second in first outing of the season

On Tuesday, April 8, the Phillipsburg golf team participated in the first tournament of the season. The tournament was hosted by Smith Center but was played at the Phillipsburg Golf Course due to the conditions of the course at Smith Center.

In team play, the team of seniors Hunter Sisson, Avery Jacobs and Jaden Boyle, junior Cole Shelton and sophomore Mason Laurin finished second in the tournament with a score of 344. Beloit narrowly won the tournament with a score of 340.

In individual standings, Sisson finished fifth with a score of 82, Laurin tied for sixth with 83, Shelton tied for eighth with an 87 and both Boyle and Jacobs finished in fourteenth with a score of 92.
