Friday, Sept. 13 was a perfect night for football as Logan hosted LaCrosse in front of a huge hometown crowd.
The Trojans were fired up for their home opener on Friday Sept. 13 as they hosted LaCrosse. The enthusiasm and energy from the huge crowd fed the players, and they grabbed the win and a 2-0 start of the season.
It was a group effort as all of the Trojans saw time on the field and worked together for the victory. Senior Caleb Sparks caught two touchdown passes for 65 yards, and senior Mayson Vahling rushed for two scores and 67 yards. Carson Knipp rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown, while Taden Gottschalk added 67 yards and a touchdown as well. Senior Rhett Kats also rushed for three TD's.
Junior Case Ashmore led the charge for the defense with 9 tackles, followed by senior Kaden Graham and Knipp each with 7.
The Trojans will play at home again on Friday, Sept. 20 as they host Lakeside. The Booster Club will host a tailgate party by the field from 5:30-6:30. They will serve hamburgers and brats.
