The Third Space Board invites you to visit The Play Space for a “Stop and See” on March 25,
26, and 28 from 4:00-7:00 pm at 257 F Street. Families and individuals are encouraged to stop
in to see the newly renovated space, learn about open play hours, sign up to volunteer, complete membership paperwork, and connect with neighbors. The Play Space will officially open for play on Monday, April 1st.

The Play Space is a child-centric third space for children ages birth through 12. Designed to
provide a safe, all-weather play option for children and caregivers, The Play Space’s mission is
to foster community through play.

Generously furnished through community, individual, and business donations, the play area
features a padded play area for pre-walkers, a toddler crawling tree, an imaginative play zone
(including a play kitchen, grocery store, veterinary clinic, and doctor’s office), a Barbie Dream
House, and an indoor climbing structure. Art supplies, a Wii, and various STEM toys are also
available. Both imaginative play stations and smaller toys will cycle through a toy rotation to
keep play options novel.

Initially, The Play Space’s hours will be volunteer operated from 8:45-10:45 am on weekdays,
9:00 am-12:00 pm on Saturdays, and 1:00-5:00 pm on Sundays. Families will have the option to
purchase yearly, seasonal, monthly, or drop-in memberships and will be required to stay with
their children at all times.

Board members included Alissa Kirchhoff, Billie Knowles, Esme Walker, Jordan Imel, Alissa
Krafft, Falon Bretton, and Christina Anderson.
