Panthers volleyballl team successful in three outings

On Monday, Sept. 16, Phillipsburg High School C team volleyball hosted a quad against Russell and Ellis.

During the Russell game they lost the first set 23-25. They came back and won the second set 25-13. The Panthers won the third set 15-13.

The team won against Ellis in two sets, the first one being 25-11, and the second 25-17.

On Tuesday, Sept. 17, the Panthers had their first home game against Plainville and Norton.

Plainville was the Panther's first game. JV won against Plainville in two. The first set was 25-11, the second set was 25-17.

The varsity had eight aces as a team, 24 kills, 3 blocks and 24 digs. They won in two sets: 25-6, 25-12.

Against Norton, the JV lost both sets the score for first set was 13-25 second set was 14-25.

The varsity played three sets with the Bluejays. The Panthers had 10 aces, 32 kills and 72 digs as a team. The Panthers ended up losing the first set 15-25, won the second set 25-21 and lost the third set 23-25.

On Thursday, Sept. 19, the Panthers traveled to Alma,Ne where both teams won.

In the first set, the JV finished with a score of 25-11 and the second with 25-17.

The varsity played best three out of five. The Panthers won three sets and lost one to the Cardinals. Against Alma, the Panthers had 20 aces, 32 kills, 7 blocks and 74 digs as a team. The first set ended with a score of 24-16, second set ended with 25-13, third set 23-25 and fourth set 25-15.
