The Lady Trojans were dealt a tough hand as they were matched with Rawlins County in their first round, who would eventually win the tournament. The hot-handed Buffaloes took the court by storm and put up the 63-16 win.
On Friday Dec. 13, the Lady Trojans took on Wheatland-Grinnell. While the Trojans struggled in the first half, they showed growth and more confidence in the second half, but were handed the 21-51 loss. Junior Lylah Voss scored 9 points, and senior Hailey McClurg followed with 6. Sophomore Breyer Delimont tallied 9 rebounds.
The Trojans beat Pawnee Heights 37-22 in their Saturday morning match-up, giving them 7th place in the tournament. Lylah Voss scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks in the contest while Breyer Delimont scored 10 points and 9 rebounds.
The Trojans will continue on the road next week as they travel to Mankato on Tuesday and McDonald on Friday.
