The Lady Trojans played in the Mankato tournament on Saturday bringing home 4th place with a 2-3 record for the day. Against Pike Valley, the Trojans pulled together for a true team win as the stats were evenly distributed. With scores of 25-17, 25-20, Couse and Delimont each added 3 kills with Kuhn, Clark and Voss all with 2. Kuhn had 6 assists and Delimont 4. Looking to avenge their loss to Lakeside earlier in the season, the Trojans did just that as they won 25-16, 25-9. Their last match of round robin play proved tougher as they lost to St. John's/Tipton 16-25, 12-25.

The 2-1 record led the Trojans into bracket play against Rock Hills. Although their first match was rough 7-25, they came back to play much better in the second set, but lost 20-25. In their final match of the day, the Trojans played Republic County. The 16-25, 18-25 loss gave them the 4th place finish for the day.

The ladies will head back to Ransom again on Tuesday, Oct. 8 to play Western-Plains and Heartland Christian.
