Diane was born on April 2, 1963, in Lawrence, KS, to Gary and Donna Murphy.

She grew up in Phillipsburg, KS where she married her high school sweetheart, Corey Troyer, in 1984. Following in her parents' footsteps, she pursued a career in education, graduating top of her class at Emporia State College with a degree in Elementary Education. She possessed an exceptional talent working with children and was beloved by her students.

When they moved to Kearney, NE in 1989, Diane continued substitute teaching until she decided it was time to stay home with her own children full time. This occupied her for several years until she started working at Trinity Presbyterian Church and later Holy Cross Lutheran Church. After many years in ministry service, she planned to step back to relieve stress, but instead decided to double down and serve faithfully for 9 more years with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Ministry, until finally retiring for health reasons.

Diane is remembered by those who knew her as an extremely compassionate and empathetic person, always reflecting God's grace and love to those around her. She took great joy in her family, her poodles, and her watercolor paintings, which she often gifted as small cards to send celebration, love, or encouragement to her loved ones. Diane's generous spirit, playfulness, and enduring faith will be greatly missed by those who love her.

Diane is survived by her husband Corey Troyer of Kearney, son, Tyler and Alexa Troyer of Overland Park, KS, daughters, Kaylee and Joel Roth of Kearney, Melissa and Michael Young of Minden, NE, grandchildren, Amos Roth, Holly Roth, Eleanor Young, parents, Gary and Donna Murphy of Kearney, and sister, Amy and Tom Denton of Cairo, MO.
