Phillipsburg girls' track season opens at Norton Invitational
On Friday April 11 the Phillipsburg Girls track team competed at Norton.
Chloe VanDerVeen placed 7th in the 100 meter dash. Freshman Lydia Patterson placed 12th, Ana Schemper placed 21st, and Jocelynn Leanna placed 25th.
In the 200 meter dash Schemper placed 14th, Leanna placed 18th, and Arianna Ebner placed 25th.
During the 400 meter dash, VanDerVeen placed 5th and Kamrie Chestnut placed 13th.
In the 800 meter dash, Emmalynn Brown placed 8th, Aerianna Gruber placed 11th, and Kihyna Steelsmith placed 13th.
In the mile Hayleigh Watt placed 13th, Brown placed 14th, and Steelsmith placed 18th.
Kayla Jacobs placed 3rd and Emalee Russell placed 13th in the 300 meter hurdles.
In the 4x100 meter relay the varsity team placed 7th and the freshman team placed 9th.
In the 4x400 meter relay the team placed 4th.
During the high jump Ryleigh Seems placed 6th, Russell placed 12th, Kyla Vrbas placed 13th, and Gruber placed 19th.
Jenna Storz placed 1st, Russell placed 14th, Chestnut placed 16th, and Ebner placed 20th in long jump.
In the triple jump, Tessa Ragsdale placed 13th, Brynn Billings placed 16th, and Valorie Solida placed 18th.
Patterson and Ragsdale both placed 9th, Solida placed 11th, and Kinsey Archer placed 12th in Pole Vault.
In discus Billings placed 7th, Azariah Christy placed 11th, Callie Leidig placed 15th, and Seems placed 22nd.
Karissa Keeten placed 1st, Christy placed 9th, Kalinda Meili placed 11th, and Emma Deines placed 20th in javelin.
During shot put, Leidig placed 1st, Seems placed 6th, Christy placed 10th, and Brooke Hanchett placed 17th.
