Northern Valley JH boys finish second at Husky Invite

On April 11 the Northern Valley track team competed in the 38th Annual Husky invitational meet in Stockton. There were ten schools at the meet.

The NV Jr. High boys had a great day finishing in a second place tie with Brewster with 81 points. Thunder Ridge was first with 127 points. All eight NV Jr High boys placed to contribute to the win.

Griffin McKinney won four medals on the day, including gold in the 200 hurdles, silver in the 400 and shot and bronze in the long jump. Lucas Hansen had a good day placing 2nd in the triple jump and 3rd in the 200. 7th grader Bryson Wilder ran the hurdles well placing 2nd in the 100 hurdles and 3rd in the 200 hurdles. Classmate Cash Compton won the bronze medal in the 100.

The NV 6th grade boys combined scores with the 6th grade girls to win the 2nd place plaque. Colt Rogers and Max Wilder each collected four ribbons in their events.
