Logan Trojans Qualify One for State Track and Field

On Thursday May 16th, 8 athletes attended 1A Regional at Washington County with hopes of punching their ticket for State Track and Field Championships. Mara Kats was the only athlete to qualify for state. She will be participating in shot put at 3:00 on Friday May 24th. Send off will be 3:00 on Thursday May 23rd.

Two athletes participated in running events. Gracie Bliss qualified for finals in the 100m Hurdles with a personal best of 17.21 seconds. In the finals, she placed 6th overall. Graci also ran the 100m dash with a time of 13.78 seconds. Taden Gottschalk participated in the 800m run and finished with a personal best time of 2:13.

Along with Mara who qualified in shot put with a seasonal best of 36’ 5.5”, 5 other athletes competed in field events. Ryan Prewo threw 120’ 5” in discus. Tye West in shot put had a personal best of 41’ 6.5”.

Case Ashmore threw discus 100’0”, shot put 35’ 5.5”, and had a personal best in the javelin throwing 118’0”.

Lylah Voss threw discus 75’1”. Breyer Delimont threw the discus placing 6th with a personal best of 107’ 4” and had a distance of 32’6 in the shot put.
