Phillipsburg Junior High breaks multiple records at Norton Track Meet

Several records were broken at the recent junior high track meet held at Norton, highlighting the rising talent of young athletes. A couple stand-out hurdlers broke school records. 8th grader Bella Stites broke both the 100m and 200m hurdle record for 8th grade girls. Prestyn Hilburn broke the 7th grade girls 200m hurdle record, her first time running them.
The field events also had a broken record, 8th grader Aria Gregory broke the girls High Jump record as well.These 8th grade girls were on fire and continued that throughout the whole meet, The 8th grade girls 4x400m relay team ended the night with another record breaking run. The relay team consisted of Bella Stities, Addison Lauren, Neelee Taylor and Kynley Griffin. The coaches praised the athletes’ hard work and determination, and the athletes proved all the time and work they put in does pay off.
