The Museum is excited to announce a series of holiday-inspired learning opportunities coming up soon.
Acrylic Wonders: Step-by-Step Christmas Art
On Saturday, December 7th, join instructor Laurie Albin for our first offering. Expertly, Laurie will guide participants through each step of the painting process, from color mixing to brushwork and layering. All supplies are provided, allowing you to focus on unleashing your creativity! By the end of the session, you will leave with a stunning piece of art that captures the essence of the season. Whether you are planning a fun outing with friends, a unique holiday gathering, or simply want to express your creativity, this class promises a joyful and inspiring experience. Gather your friends, sip on some warm cocoa, and let the Christmas magic flow through your brush. Pre-registration is required by November 27th to ensure adequate supplies can be ordered.
Christmas Floral Design
Our next holiday-themed offering is scheduled for the evening of December 19th. This class provides a festive and creative experience, perfect for activating your Christmas cheer through hands-on floral design. Taught by Logan High School students enrolled in the Plant and Animal Science class, this engaging course invites participants to explore the art of floral arranging while crafting a stunning Christmas centerpiece that will brighten any home. Under the guidance of student instructors, participants will learn the fundamentals of floral design, focusing on techniques that enhance creativity and skill. All materials are provided, including a delightful selection of fresh greenery, vibrant flowers, charming pinecones, and elegant ribbons to create unique arrangements. Centerpieces crafted during the class will serve as beautiful additions to holiday décor or make thoughtful gifts for someone special. Pre-registration is required by December 1st, and due to its popularity, we encourage you to register soon.
Homemade Bierock Class
Although not officially holiday-themed, our Homemade Bierock class on December 12th offers a ready-made meal for your overnight holiday guests. Taught by popular instructor Anna Schremmer, this hands-on cooking class will teach you how to create this traditional German delicacy! In this fun and interactive session, you will work in pairs to make a batch of homemade bread dough filled with a savory mixture of cabbage and ground beef. Each participant will leave with 10 to 12 bierocks ready for the oven. Whether you are a seasoned baker or a curious beginner, this class promises to be a delightful culinary adventure. Pre-registration is required.
