PHS girls' track team finishes ninth at Scott City

The varsity girls track team placed ninth at the Scott City Invitational on Tuesday, April 22.

In field event action, Ryleigh Seems placed 9th in High Jump. In long jump Jenna Storz placed 4th, Kamrie Chestnut placed 12th, and Arianna Ebner placed 28th. In the triple jump Brynn Billings placed 13th and Tessa Ragsdale placed 16th. In shot put Callie Leidig placed 1st, Seems placed 6th, and Kaitlyn McCreery placed 11th. In discus Billings placed 6th, Leidig placed 10th, and Azariah Christy placed 11th. In javelin Karissa Keeten placed 1st, Kalinda Meili placed 7th, and Christy placed 11th.

In running event action, in the 100 meter dash Chloe VanDerVeen placed 12th and Ebner placed 23rd. In the 200 meter dash Ana Schemper placed 15th, Ragsdale placed 20th, and Ebner placed 25th. In the 4x100 relay the team placed 8th. In the 4x100 throwers relay the team placed 1st. In the 400 VanDerVeen placed 4th and Schemper placed 7th. In the 300 meter hurdles Kayla Jacobs placed 4th. In the 4x400 relay the team placed 7th.
