Panthers drop first district game to Beloit

On Friday, Sept. 27, the Phillipsburg football team hosted the Beloit Trojans. The Panthers were unable to find their way to the end zone until the fourth quarter, while the Trojans secured a 14-0 lead at the half. Ultimately, the Panthers would fall to Beloit 6-27.

On the offensive side, senior Kayden Hudson was the only Panther to find the end zone. He had 15 carries for 66 yards, with his longest being the ten-yard run into the end zone.

Following Hudson, senior Seth Keeten had 33 yards on 11 carries. As a team, the Panthers racked up 161 rushing yards.

Defensively, senior Hunter Sisson and Hudson had five tackles each. The Panthers were able to find the Trojans in the back field a combined total of four times by seniors Caden Seems leading with three and Cole Keeten with one.

The Panthers will continue with district play as they head to Russell on Friday, Oct. 4.
