Phillipsburg Junior High football ends season 6-1

On Tuesday, Oct. 15, the Phillipsburg Junior High football team hosted the Oakley Plainsmen at home finishing up their season. The Panthers ended the game strong with a 52-22 win. The Panthers fought hard all season and had a great outcome this year.

Offensively, Colby Myers and Cordell Dusin tied for rushing yards. Both boys ended the night with 63 yards and only six carries each. Jack Seems had three receiving catches for 61 yards total. Seems also scored one of seven touchdowns.

Leading the Panther defense this week was Lane Gower and Colby Myers had three tackles on the night, stopping the Plainsmen offense. Adding to the defense, Reid Pfortmiller and Kolton Wilkison each had pick sixes. Hendrix Jarvis also had an interception in the game. The Panthers had a great, hard fought season ending up 6-1.
