Panthers secure seven seed in football playoff bracket
The Phillipsburg Panthers secured a strong victory against the Minneapolis Lions on October 25, finishing the last district game of the season with a score of 36-21.
The Panthers showcased a dominant performance, particularly in the first quarter, where they held the Lions scoreless and built an early 14-0 lead.
Throughout the game, the Panthers' defense remained solid, allowing only one score from the Lions in each of the following quarters.
Offensively, the team racked up an impressive 422 rushing yards. Senior Kayden Hudson led the charge with 140 yards, while seniors Seth Keeten and juniors Tanner Horinek and Colin Springer each contributed with 70+ yards collectively.
Defensively, junior Ej Hall made a significant impact with an interception, further solidifying the Panthers' control of the game.
Looking ahead, the Panthers will host Kingman on November 1 at 6 PM for their first playoff game.
