city Council Meeting (May 15, 2024)

The Phillipsburg City Council met in a special meeting on May 15, 2024, 6:00 P.M, at 945 2nd Street, Phillipsburg, KS for the object and purpose of an executive session to discuss Aquatic Center Manager and Aquatic Center Assistant Manager candidates.

PRESENT: Councilmembers Brian Shrader; Don Roberts; Terry McConnell; Jeannette Harris.

ABSENT: Lauren Weinert; Mike James.

ALSO PRESENT: Jason Dibble; Tim and Shawn Ellenberger; Janice Wilson; Mike Reese; Tim Driggs, City Administrator; Brandi Spray, City Clerk.

Moved by McConnell, seconded by Shrader that the city council recess into executive session to discuss a personnel matter pursuant to the non-elected personnel matter exception, K.S.A. 75-4319 (b)(1) with the City Council, Mayor, Driggs and Spray in attendance and the open meeting to resume in the city council chamber at 6:21pm.

Dibble, Ellenbergers, Wilson, and Reese left the meeting at 6:01pm Dibble, Ellenbergers, Wilson and Reese returned to the meeting at 6:21pm

Moved by Harris, seconded by McConnell to approve having 3 positions at the Aquatic Center, an Aquatic Center Manager and 2 Aquatic Center Assistant Mangers. Voting Aye: ALL. Opposed: NONE.

Moved by McConnell, seconded by Shrader to adjourn- time 6:23p.m. Voting Aye: ALL. Opposed: NONE.
